The government of Assam state has announced to start Of Khel Maharan in the state from 01 November 2023 to select sports talent among the players of its state and to bring awareness about sports among the players. Men and women below 19 years of age and above 19 years of age in Assam state are allowed to play this game in Maharan 2023. Many sports like football, kabaddi, volleyball, Kho Kho, and athletics will be organized in Assam Khel Maharan. Assam Khel Maharan will be organized first at the Gram Panchayat/ULB/Ward level and Gram Parishad Development Committee/MAC level then at the assembly constituency and later at the district level and state level.Any players from Assam state who want to participate in Khel Maharan 2023 will have to register themselves for Khel Maharan 2023 Registration, which will start on 10 September 2023. Appropriate rewards will also be provided by the government to the players who show their good talent by participating in the Assam Khel Mehran 2023, which will awaken the feeling of working harder towards sports among the players of the state and will promote sports in the state.
